| When I grew up in Ferriday it was a great little town to be from.Everyone new everyone and the people were very friendly. On Friday night everyone went to watch the Bulldogs beat whoever they were playing.Yes I grew up when the bulldogs were having their winning streak, it was the best of times. My Daddy and Mama (Frank & Marie Brocato)were on the fifty yard line ever home game and didn't miss many away games.I remember the football team eating at the cafe (Brocatos) after the games. All those good- look'in boys at my daddys cafe.WOW!.... More of my memories are of the Sandwich Bar just north of Youngs. We would ride around that thing look'in for who ever we could find, our friends hopefully, if we didn't see what we wanted we headed for Natchez.Did your parents tell you to stay out of Natchez mine did it didn't work. These are just a few of my memories.Ferriday is not the same but I guess nothing is | |

| Judy, I have a lot of those same memories.....Brocato's WORLD FAMOUS spaghetti and meatballs AND the Sandwich Bar. What a GROOVE we all wore in the road circling that famous place. Wish I had been there for all those fine ass Bulldog State champs hanging out. I told them at the reunion...they were my heroes....for true!!!
Thanks for posting. | |
